There are two types of Wireless system we offer for these types of property’s. The two system’s vary considerably in cost. In the smaller type property with minim risks the MoDex HD3000 could be suitable. In larger properties or higher risk areas the MoDex HFSA99 control Panel and detectors might be required system to use (Further details below on this system.)

MoDex HD3000 The new Wire-free Radio Fire system is a unique alternative to the costs , Potential damage and business disruption associated with installing fire systems in existing buildings. And a Ideal system for retrofit and refurbishment.

The system comprises of a range of battery operated , self contained fire detection & Alarm devices , including Heat and third party certified smoke alarms plus manual calls points , sounders and beacons.. These devices are radio connected with each other via a fire panel base station which provides comprehensive alarm indication and control, including monitoring of the system integrity and battery conditions. A unique solution within its application area , which has been reviewed and well received by a number of Fire Service and Fire Industry professionals.

The HD3000 wireless/radio system with associated HD detectors (smoke and heat alarms) plus Lithium battery packs and the new Radio Manual Call Point are considered suitable for domestic and small commercial applications subject to individual site Risk Assessments. 

The system complies with a BS5839 : Part 6 – GRADE F network of smoke alarms with radio interlinking PLUS central control and monitoring with a mains power supply and battery back up as per GRADE C.

So there is a good case to present and with the advent of the RRO (Regulatory Reform Order) Risk Assessment and determination of solutions on a Case by Case basis should be acceptable.  The HD3000 system should be considered for small to medium buildings including HMOs, subject to radio surveys and approval on a case by case basis by the Responsible individuals.

Larger B&B / Small hotels between 12 – 35 bedrooms

The MoDex HFSA99 is a compact Radio Fire alarm designed for use in small hotels , , commercial premises , HMOs and residential homes. With the culmination of 30 years experience of fire alarm system design and manufacture , the HFSA99 completes the well established MoDex 999 series of equipment.

We would recommend this system where there has been a direct request / requirement to install a BS5839 :2002 pt 1 Fire Alarm system or higher than normal risks are present as indicated in your Fire risk assessment.
