Alarm Maintenance - Why have a contract?
- Peace of mind – It makes sense that your investment is in prime condition to protect your home, family and business
- NSI and Police requirement – To have your alarm system monitored by an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and alarms transmitted to the Police, an approved company must maintain your intruder alarm or burglar alarm system.
- Insurance Requirement – If you have informed your insurance company that you have an approved intruder alarm or burglar alarm system, they will require it to be regularly serviced.
- Long term cost saving - The service visits will provide the opportunity for training updates and advice as well as a security audit check to make sure the building or usage of the building has not changed since the first Risk Assessment.
- Fast Response – All of our engineers carry 'car stock' which will allow most intruder alarm or burglar alarm systems to be repaired on the first visit.

* With Inclusive Labour/Materials cover, engineer call-outs are included except in the case of where the system has been damaged by users or third-party. Alarm Maintenance - What is included in a visit?
- Check the log book and speak to the customer about recent history of the alarm
- Check each item connected to the intruder alarm system and the cables/connections
- Check that the date and time is correct
- Check the operation of the control panel
- Check and test the audible sounders
- Check the coverage of each movement device
- Check batteries and power supplies
- Check remote signalling to the ARC
- Confirm the setting/unsetting procedures
- Set/unset the system (if possible)
- Carry out retraining to the end user
- Carry out minor adjustments to the system if required
- Complete the NSI Gold paperwork
- Inform customer of the checks carried out
All servicing is carried out to NSI Gold (National Security Inspectorate) standards.
Alarm Maintenance - Takeover and 3rd Party Systems
If your intruder alarm or burglar alarm system was not installed by Securi-Guard, you can still enjoy the benefits and peace of mind of receiving engineer support from the regional leader. Because all our engineers are trained in all types of security technology they can maintain and service systems originally supplied and installed by companies other than Securi-Guard Fire and Security.
