We ensure that all of our employees are trained to the highest standard
in their specific roles within the organisation.
Our in-house Skills for Security
Accredited and NOCN qualified trainers deliver training to all
personnel at our own Training Centre. This Training Centre is
also recognised by the City and Guilds as an Approved Assessment
Centre for NVQ qualifications.
Manned Guarding – The Security
Industry Authority
Due to the introduction of Licensing under the
Private Security Industry Act 2001, the requirement for all Manned
Guarding personnel to be trained to the Security Industry Authority
(SIA) criteria has brought in the requirement to train all Security
Officers to the NOCN Level Two Award in Security Guarding (static and
patrol) qualification which will enable employees to apply for a licence.
We carry out the following courses that meet
with the SIA ‘Core
Competency Requirements’.
Unit 1 – Roles & Responsibilities of a Security Officer (3
day course)
Unit 2 – Communication & Conflict Management (1 day)
Each unit is assessed by way of an exam.

Security Systems
Securi-Guard provides on-going product training for all Security System
Engineers and actively works with local education authorities to provide
placements for apprentices who attend college under a day release program.
As training progresses the apprentices become active members of the
engineering team and once fully qualified to industry standards have
the opportunity to take up full engineering status with the company.
Alarm Receiving Centre
Employees within our Alarm Receiving Centre carry out internal
training on all aspects of the different roles carried out within
the ARC e.g.: CCTV, Monitoring, Alarm 'Handling', Vechicle Tracking

has come in but varies dependant on usage of CCTV.
