How buddi works

Simple to operate with state of the art technology offering both speed and accuracy, the buddi personal locator device is now firmly established as one of the market leaders for health and security applications.

When the buddi emergency button is activated, the Securi-Guard monitoring team receive an alert and are able to pinpoint the wearer’s location with the help of Global Positioning Satellite Technology (GPS).

The team then follow a strict protocol, ensuring the user’s nominated contacts are informed of their whereabouts. The incident is also referred to the police or local authority, whichever is appropriate.

buddi utilises the latest assisted satellite technology to locate a user’s location on a map, which is accessible via a laptop or desktop computer, as well as mobile phones/ handheld devices. Current technology makes GPS accurate to within five to ten metres anywhere in the world.

The devices offer the ideal protection solution for vulnerable people like the elderly and those with conditions such as dementia. They are commonly used in the healthcare sector across the UK and a number of NHS Trusts have adopted buddi technology for use by midwives and nurses on home visits.

Key benefits of the buddi device:

  • Utilises world-leading technology
  • Equipment light and comfortable for the user
  • Highly durable with a long battery life
  • Reliable and operates in all conditions.
